Mountain Lion P-22 is one of the most well-known big cats in the world. He’s believed to be roughly 12 years old, and is known for his incredible 50 mile journey from the Santa Monica Mountains to Griffith Park near Hollywood, according to LAist. P-22 had to cross both the 101 and 405 freeways to reach Griffith Park. His movements are tracked with a collar by local wildlife specialists.
P-22 is the only known mountain lion inhabiting the 4,310 acres within Griffith Park, making him somewhat of a celebrity in the Los Angeles community. Now, he’s showing up on the doorsteps of mansions in Hollywood Hills!
The video below was captured by Hollywood home’s security cameras. Experts believe the mountain lion in the video is P-22, and the internet is ablaze with the recent sighting.
