Shaun White checked in from Mammoth, where he is alongside the world’s best skiers and snowboarders as they are set compete in the The Toyota U.S. Grand Prix. Currently ranked 13th in the world in snowboard halfpipe, Shaun is ranked third among Americans who will send 4 athletes to Beijing for the Olympic Games in February. The first two qualifying events for the 3 time Olympic gold medalist “did not go my way” including a binding malfunction during a competition run and he hopes to improve on recent performances and secure a spot for the XXIV Winter Games.
