Nope. Never. Never in a million years would you catch me diving under a frozen lake. Falling through ice has been one of my biggest fears ever since I saw ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’ for the first time.
I just can’t make sense of it. I mean, shit, I don’t really mind the cold all that much as a skier. But this dude is literally diving in water that is sitting below a frozen sheet of ice. How? How in the hell is he not freezing to death?
Also, why? Why would you want to free dive under a sheet of ice? I mean it looks really cool on video, but I think something has to be wrong with this guy’s head. Has he never seen a movie where a kid falls through the ice and they try desperately to break through to reach the surface? Or does he just not give a shit about his well being?
I have lots of unanswered questions, but don’t let that deter you from enjoying the video. The footage of diving under ice is pretty cool despite how stupid it is to me… 😂
