Multiple news outlets are reporting that a COVID-19 outbreak has hit Killington’s employees. There are 86 positive cases so far with 22 tests still awaiting results. It’s unclear how the positive tests will effect Killington’s ability to operate at the moment.

Killington has not released a statement on the outbreak at the time of writing this post. They did, however, implement a mask mandate for all guests employees in all indoor spaces including gondola cabins on December 27th.

Killington: “Updated policy as of December 27, 2021:

Out of an abundance of caution to protect our team and others we are reinstating our face mask policy starting Monday, December 27. This policy requires all guests and employees, vaccinated or not, to wear a face mask covering their nose and mouth while indoors or riding our gondolas.

INDOORS
Masks covering the nose and mouth are required for all guests indoors, regardless of vaccination status. Masks are not required while seated, actively eating or drinking indoors.
Masks are required indoors at the Pico Fitness Center unless actively working out.
There are currently no capacity restrictions on dining or any indoor space.”

The US has been setting records for positive COVID tests over the last week. The ski industry has, obviously, not been immune to these outbreaks.
