One of my favorite ski season activities is checking out the new maps section of Skimap.org. Two of the most recent additions come out of the Mt. Washington Valley of New Hampshire. Attitash and Wildcat, which were once a two-for-one-ticket deal when they were owned by Peak Resorts, are now a part of the Vail Resorts chain. Their trail map in prior seasons still contained the Peak Resorts logo on its posters at the mountain, as I saw when I skied over Wildcat last season, so changes needed to be made.  Vail Resorts changed both trail maps for this season. The Attitash map is a complete overhaul and new design, and it’s the best that it has ever looked. Another important aspect is the Epic Lift Upgrade sticker under the East/West Double, which will be replaced after this winter season. Click here for a breakdown of the lift replacement coming to Attitash next year. In spite of the cold weather, Attitash’s opening day has been delayed, which has caused frustration among locals.

Wildcats map has remained the same for the most part, except the gladded areas are now shaded in a different color. Wildcat opens for the season on Friday with skiing off the Tomcat Triple, with the open runs being Cat Tracks, to Middle Wildcat, to Bobcat.” You can check out Wildcats’ new trail map below.
