Newly named Palisades Tahoe is celebrating as, what appears to be, fairly decent amounts of snowfall are accumulating across the resort.

Hard to tell just based on these images captured by the webcams, but it looks like the ground is completely covered at higher elevations. There’s maybe a couple of inches on the ground mixed with wetter rainy conditions at lower elevations.

Multiple winter storms are pushing their way through the west, and I wouldn’t be surprised if numerous ski resorts share glimpses of accumulation throughout the weekend.

Just another reason to get excited for ski season. Are you guys sick of all of this early-season stoke yet? I’m certainly not. I could write about this stuff all day.

I might just try on my boots and click into my skis for the hell of it today. It’s been too long since I’ve skied, and I wouldn’t mind feeling a little excitement.

I probably have another 60~ days until I’m on snow, but I’ll be living vicariously through those of you lucky enough to get some turns in sooner.

Feel free to drop me an email of your photos and/or videos of you getting some early-season turns in. Would love to see them!
