With the latest Bond flick set to hit American theaters Friday, it’s an excellent time remember when Palisades Tahoeโ€™s legend, Rick Sylvester, sent it for the 1977 James Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me. The Bond SkiBASE has gone down in movie history as a quintessential Bond moment.

Eon executive Charles Juroe said that at a screening attended byย Charles, Prince of Wales, the ski BASE scene was electric. โ€œI have never seen a reaction in the cinema as there was that night. You couldnโ€™t help it. You could not help but stand up. Even Prince Charles stood up.โ€

Fun Fact: It was Roger Mooreโ€™s favorite Bond film.
