Alligator Displaced By Hurricane Ida Found With Human Remains In Belly

A 504-pound alligator was found with human remains in its digestive system outside of New Orleans, LA.

According to News Nation Now search for this ‘gator commenced after 71-year old Timothy Satterlee Sr was attacked by a large alligator at their badly-flooded residence on August 30. Satterlee survived the initial alligator attack and made contact with his wife. The injured man stayed at the home while his wife set out for help in a small boat. When she returned Timothy Satterlee Sr was nowhere to be found.

Local authorities set traps and killed the alligator in question. Upon examination of the digestive system, they discovered human remains. Testing is underway to determine if the remains belonged to Satterlee.

It is exceptionally rare for an alligator to attack humans. That said, these attacks increase in likelihood when storms or natural disasters disrupt the alligator’s food source. That seems to be the case in this tragic situation.
