Mount Bohemia is a trendsetter in the ski industry, as it stands as an elite mountain in the Midwest. The resort made three huge announcements last week: Wages are starting at $20 an hour this coming season, a lifetime season pass will be available for $1299, and Saturdays will have capacity limits. Saturdays at Mount Bohemia will be available only for season pass holders. The good news? Season passes only cost $99 dollars in a sale that begins on November 24th and ends on December 4th. The lifetime season pass will give pass holders 75 years of shredding, and will only be selling one hundred of them for this season. No word on when they will go on sale, but based on the other season passes being for sale from November 24th to December 4th, it will probably be then.

Mount Bohemia has no snowmaking, so they rely entirely on natural snowfall. Thanks to lake effect snow from Lake Superior, the mountain averages 273 inches of snow each year, much above the average snowfall in the Midwest. The mountain features nine hundred vertical feet drop, nearly six hundred skiable acres, two chairlifts, four buses to return skiers from the various zones of the mountain, cat-skiing on Voodoo Mountain, various lodging options, and a Nordic spa. The challenge and technicality make Mount Bohemia one of the most unique mountains in the country and a place that should definitely be on your bucket list.
