SkyTechSport partnered with Qlik, a data analytics company, and Lindsey Vonn to demonstrate how powerful data can help us with our skiing. Using SkyTechSport’s pro-grade ski training simulator to collect data from every turn, the information was then uploaded into Qliksence, a super-powerful data analytics platform, to provide insights into skiing technique. Several data points from each turn were collected including GPS coordinates, slalom gates position, and edging angles. The data was then mapped onto the Olympic Pyeongchang course. Pretty sweet.
