It feels weird to say, but we just don’t hear all that much about Ryan Sheckler these days. Let me clarify.

I know Sheck is still one of the best skaters in the world, but his days of being an MTV reality TV star are long gone, and it just feels like his name isn’t mentioned in conversation as much as it used to. I’m sure Sheck is totally fine with that, and it’s good to see him still skating at an extremely high level.

The most recent upload to his YouTube channel is a recap of the week he spent with campers at Woodward West, and I legitimately can’t stop smiling after watching it.

There’s something so pure about this 10-minute vlog that I can’t exactly put my finger on. It’s something to do with the nostalgia of watching Sheck skate, and joy that he’s spending time with the next generation of young skaters.

It’s just an all-around feel-good video that I think you’ll enjoy. There’s also some pretty damn good skating in there, too.

Ryan Sheckler“As Skate Program Designer, I’ve had the chance to build upon Woodward’s legacy and progression by leading the design of Woodward’s skateboard program for summer 2021. In June, I had the chance to venture out to Woodward West to spend a week with campers and my crew to enjoy the ultimate summer skateboard camp experience! Enjoy!”
