Breckenridge Resort in Colorado announced Tuesday the name of their new chairlift: The Freedom Superchair. This summer, Breckenridge is constructing a new high-speed quad by Leitner-Poma on Peak Seven of the mountain. Opening this winter, the chair will be named the Freedom Superchair, which coincides with the adjacent lift: The Independence Superchair. Peak Seven is home to intermediate terrain that directly accesses Peak Six and Peak Eight. The Freedom Superchair will drop off directly above the Pioneer Crossing restaurant. It is not replacing any lift and is being placed over at Peak Seven to reduce the congestion that is often seen at the Independence Superchair. More details about Breckenridge’s capital improvements can be found here.
Freedom and Independence.
Two words that go together like Peanut Butter and Jelly. Macaroni and Cheese. Batman and Robin.
Coming this winter for our 60th anniversary season, a brand-new chair creates a classic pair on Peak 7 – Freedom and Independence.https://t.co/eKF9RPZDiB pic.twitter.com/fY9VUZdPF7
