A group of boaters were treated to the show of a lifetime when a massive section of the cliffs along Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore on Lake Superior released and crashed into the lake below.
Sounds like they were in shock for a moment and then started to panic as the debris crashed into the water and sent a large wake barreling towards their pontoon boat.
Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is along the south shore of Lake Superior on Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The park is known for the colorful cliff faces and unique sandstone formations.
It’s incredible that they got to witness this cliff collapse in real time, and even better that they started recording!
