The Red Bull Creepers climbing competition is a head-to-head event that takes place on a Roman bridge that has straddled the Adaja River in Spain for a thousand years.
Climbers have to reach the bell at the top of the bridge before their opponent in order to win their race and advance on to the next round.
The losing climber then must drop to the waters below while the winner can either drop or use an auto-belay to gently lower themself to the river.
Such a cool concept. I’d love to see this type of climbing competition replicated here in the United States.
