Spooky Underground Fog Caused By Airflow Reversal @ Mammoth Cave National Park

“Today we had a large and unexpected storm come through the park which caused a quick drop in the temperature. This pressure change caused the airflow to reverse, pulling into the cave, resulting in a dense fog filling the Rotunda room!”

It may look like a movie set but this spooky scene at Mammoth Cave National Park is 100% naturally occurring. Kentucky pelunkers can thank a rapid pressure change and reversal of airflow caused by a storm system for the surreal hazy conditions….so cool:
