Strava Cyclist Profile | Katie Alton

Professional mountain biker Katie Alton was seriously injured at the TDS Enduro at Grass Valley, CA over the weekend.

The crash resulted in a head injury, broken collarbone, six broken ribs on her left, two on her right, a collapsed lung, and she is currently in a coma.

Her friends and family have started a GoFundMe page to raise money for Katie’s impending medical expenses from the incident.

The fundraiser has already eclipsed the $20,000 goal, but anything you can spare could help Katie get back on the pedals.

From Katie’s GoFundMe page:

Hello Everyone,

If you’re seeing this page you know who Katie is, and you might know a little bit about what happened.  For those of you that don’t know, Katie was involved in a horrible crash while competing at the TDS Enduro race in Grass Valley, CA on Saturday June 5th around 12:15pm.  The crash resulted in a head injury, broken collarbone, six broken ribs on her left, two on her right, a collapsed lung, and she is currently in a coma.  With this list of injuries, it’s easy to imagine the medical costs of the next week and beyond.  At this time we are not quite sure how much everything will cost, but we think this is a good start.  Please keep Katie in your thoughts and prayers over the next few weeks, and I will keep you updated as we know more.
Thank you everyone!

Derrek, Tim, Elaine, Jenny, Nick, and Rene

Edit: OVERWHELMED BY ALL THE SUPPORT ❤️❤️ We’ve been reading all the comments to Katie at her side. You all are so amazing and we will update through social media as we know more. You all are amazing ❤️
