Gnarly footage out of the Bay of Plenty in New Zealand where 46 year old long distance swimmer Steve Morris came face to face with a pod of 8 orcas. New Zealand Herald reports he pulled out a GoPro that he stuffs in his wetsuit during swims and captured the encounter as two of the giant marine mammals came within arm’s length. Steve describes the experience as the ‘best day of my life.’ Very cool:
