Should I Rent Or Buy Skis & Boots?

Interesting discussion between two professional ski instructors about the benefits and pitfalls of investing in ski equipment vs. renting. If you’re looking over at an ever expanding quiver standing up in the corner obviously this isn’t meant for you but there’s a massive segment of the skiing public that reliably goes skiing once or twice a year but has never owned any hard goods. Lots to consider before taking the plunge from ease of air travel, the importance of proper socks, and the possibility of just investing in quality well-fitting boots and continuing to rent skis.  Its a major investment and those on the fence should listen up:
