Showdown Ski Resort in Montana donated all proceeds of their final day of the season to a local family involved in a tragic traffic accident. Tyler Weir and his 10 year old son Wyatt died in a car crash east of Great Falls last Saturday.  Tyler’s wife Jen and other two children, Wakely and Weston, remain hospitalized. Showdown owner Katie Boedecker considered the Weirs part of the Showdown family and wanted to help. This is from their Facebook page:

“As many of you know, last Saturday the Weir family was in a tragic car accident. Tyler was a dedicated member of Team 2 of the Great Falls Ski Patrol and the Weirs are a part of the Showdown family. Tyler was also a member of the Cascade County Search and Rescue and The Montana Air National Guard. He along with his son Wyatt died in the accident and his wife Jen and children Wakely and Weston are in the hospital in critical condition. We cannot even begin to describe the impact of this loss on our Central Montana Community. Showdown will donate all proceeds from our closing day, Saturday, April 3, to the Weir Family. We’ll also be accepting donations at every register.”
