45 year old Yosemite local, Jason Torlano, fulfilled a lifelong dream on Feb. 21st when he skied down Half Dome to Mirror Lake on the Valley floor with his buddy Zach Milligan. Back in 1981 some dudes skied it but they were roped in and I don’t think that qualifies as a first descent. Jason and Zach took 5.5 hours to make the 4,600ft descent untethered and have landed themselves in the ski history books. Congratulations!
