The Know Outdoors is reporting that traffic on I-70 through the Eisenhower Tunnel was significantly down compared to last year.
CDOT says that 152,999 vehicles passed through the Eisenhower Tunnel between Friday and Monday night. That’s a 16% decrease compared to 2020.
Many speculate that a combination of lift ticket limitations and cold weather deterred Front Range residents from hitting the resorts over the weekend.
The article also mentions that traffic on MLK weekend was down 3.2% compared to 2020.
