Big Sky Resort took to Twitter to announce that the resort now runs on 100% renewable energy.

The resort purchases Renewable Energy Credits that are equivalent to the energy consumption of running their 38 chairlifts.

The transition from non-renewable sources of energy is part of Boyne Resorts‘ ForeverProject.

Big Sky is owned by a parent company called Boyne Resorts. Boyne owns and operates ski areas across the country.

Notable properties include: Big Sky, Loon, Sugarloaf, Brighton, and Sunday River. It’s clear that Big Sky is Boyne’s largest, and most valuable asset amongst their resorts.

Getting the resort to 100% renewable energy is a huge step towards their goal of reaching carbon net-neutrality by 2030.
