KGW8 is reporting that former Mt. Hood Meadows ski instructor John Samuelson celebrated his 96th birthday on 1/14/21.

Samuelson celebrated by skiing with his son and daughter-in-law at the place he taught for 25 years. He was even sung ‘Happy Birthday’ by the current ski patrol employees. Well done Mt. Hood Meadows!

Samuelson is a WWII vet. He started skiing when he was 40 years old, began teaching at 65 years old, and can now claim that he is a 96-year-old skier. Something that VERY few people can do.

Congrats to John Samuelson from all of us here at Unofficial Networks!

Skiing at almost 100 years old is inspirational as hell.
