Happy to report Norwegian skier and filmmaker, Nikolai Schirmer, is okay after getting caught in an avalanche in Tromsø, Norway. Shook up but okay. The footage and his commentary are sobering and hopefully will effect your own decision making process in the backcountry. Nikolai wants to remind viewers to never go into avalanche terrain without proper training and equipment and even with proper training and equipment it’s very hard to eliminate all risk.
