So much to love about this 1957 short film about battling against snow in Montreal. War room strategizing with horribly out of synch dub over french to english, the fact that Montreal was the biggest city at the time, the vintage machinery roaring to life, the incredibly crisp film quality…très bon. Dig this tagline: A close-up of a snow-bound city, and the men, money and machinery it takes to dig it out.
