Bluebird Backcountry has set their opening date for Thursday, December 31, 2020. The backcountry guide service will operate on a new peak this season, and we’re excited to see how things shake out!

Bluebird’s new trail map for Bear Mountain

Bluebird Backcountry offers a traditional backcountry ski touring experience, but with the avalanche mitigation services from ski patrol that you would expect at a traditional ski resort.

You won’t find chairlifts, snow cats, or snowmobiles here to get you up the mountain.

Day passes start at $50, and touring equipment can be rented for  $120, or less (depending on your needs). Pretty affordable considering a day pass at Vail, Beaver Creek, and Steamboat are over $200 this weekend…
