Good thing this mountain coaster rider in the Smoky Mountains was paying attention because this family of black bears took their sweet time crossing the tracks at Anakeesta Outdoor Family Theme Park in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. WTHR13 reports park officials are well aquatinted with the resident bears and have even given them names:
“She is one of our favorite bears here on the property. Anna has been with us probably since we opened in 2017 and she has received her name because of Anakeesta, so “Anna” is from the name Anakeesta. Anna is not the only bear here on the property. We do see several families — one is a bear with three cubs, and our staff lovingly calls her Goldilocks because of the three bears. I guess our bears just enjoy our wide-open spaces in our fresh mountain air just like our guests here at Anakeesta do.” -Anakeesta’s VP of Marketing & Sales Michele Canney
