The dust has settled from the initial buzz around Tesla’s 2021 Cyber Truck unveiling (busted window included) and there hasn’t been much new info about the futuristic vehicle until this episode of Jay Leno’s Garage that debuted last night. The test ride that included a spin through The Boring Company’s proof of concept tunnel was perfectly timed with the groundswell around the launch of SpaceX first crewed spaceflight (well played Elon).
As skier and snowboarders, capable vehicles with room enough for friends and gear make sense but there’s never been a fully electric option until now. The question is, would you buy one of these badboys as your primary vehicle to travel around the mountains. Lots of variables to consider including range (500+ miles) and price (Single Motor RWD $39,900/Tri Motor AWD $69,900) but I’m thinking more like gut reaction. Would you trade in the Subura and park this beast in the ski resort parking lot?
