Ski resorts in Australia’s high country just got a sweet earlier season dump with up to 30cm of snow falling in parts of the southeast. The next question of course is will these Aussie resorts open for operation amid the current COVID-19 pandemic. No concrete answers issued yet as the whole world is in a fluid situation, but here’s a statement from Perisher on how they plan to move forward:

“We’re doing our best to navigate through this challenging and uncertain time. We want to reassure you that, despite the current challenges, our teams are doing everything they can to prepare for the 2020 winter season, but continue to prioritize the health and wellbeing of our employees, our communities and our guests. As the situation surrounding COVID-19 evolves, we know that you’ll have questions and we plan to provide regular updates to ensure you’re informed.”
