The County is prohibiting all visitors, including non-resident homeowners from remaining in the county for the duration of the order.

The Public Health Director is citing the greater risk for complications from COVID-19 infection for non-residents who are not acclimatized to the high altitude environment. They also cite the unnecessary burdens on health care, public services, first responders, food supplies and other essential services caused by non-residents.

The order went on to state that visitors were “creating issues” with regard to enforcement of the stay-at-home order.
