According to TheKnow, Keystone has requested that The U.S. Forest Service allow it to build a chair lift that grants skiers and boarders access to the Bergman and Erickson bowls.

The bowls are currently only accessible via hike or Keystone’s snow-cat service. If approved, it will be Keystone’s first new lift-serviced terrain expansion since 1991.

This is kind of a no-brainer, right? I’ve always wondered why Keystone didn’t have a lift up to those bowls. I’m sure the hikers will be upset, but I’m assuming most of them go to other resorts anyways.
