As part of Monarch Mountain’s 80th-anniversary celebration, the Colorado ski resort is offering one free lift ticket to anyone who brings non-perishable food items or cash donations to Monarch Mountain on Monday, December 9.

If you are going to ski on Monday at Monarch, please keep in mind that a complimentary lift ticket is valued at $94, so please be generous with your donations.

All non-perishable food items will be shared between Salida’s Grainery and 1st Presbyterian Church food banks. Cash contributions will be donated directly to the Boys and Girls Club of Chaffee County.

Monarch Mountain is celebrating community and its 80th anniversary by offering free skiing and snowboarding, Monday, December 9, 2019. In exchange for non-perishable food items or cash donations, visitors to the ski area will receive a complimentary lift ticket valued at $94.00 for skiing or snowboarding that day.

The non-perishable food collection will be shared between Salida’s Grainery and 1st Presbyterian Church food banks. Cash contributions will be donated directly to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Chaffee County. “Last year, through the generosity of our skiing and snowboarding guests, Monarch collected close to 8,000 lbs of food for the local food banks and $2,251 in cash for the Boys and Girls Club,” said Kathryn Wadsworth, event coordinator. “We’re excited to offer a free day of skiing again this season and encourage everyone to be generous with their contributions towards a free lift ticket in support of our local organizations that are so important to our community.” Come enjoy a day of free skiing and help us beat last years donations!
