Rideshare behemoth Uber is now offering a helicopter shuttle service from downtown Manhattan to JFK airport. The 8 minute ride averages around $200, but as with the car service prices can fluctuate quite a bit depending on demand.
The question is will this type of helicopter service ever take hold in a place like Colorado where high rollers flying into DIA might dish out the big bucks to skip the snarling traffic of I-70 and take a direct route to the ski resorts? How long until we see an Uber landing pad in a resort parking lot (or peak) near you?
