As reported by Liftblog, Great Divide Ski Area in Maysville, Montana is set to add two new lifts in the next three years.

The first lift will be completed sometime in 2020, and will extend Great Divide’s top elevation to the true summit of Mount Belmont (7,330 ft.). The lift will be called Summit Shuttle, and will allow the resort to accommodate more skiers on peak days. The area of the proposed lift is shown by the yellow line below.

The second lift will be constructed in 2022. It will provide lift service to the “Tall Timbers” area designated by the yellow circle on the map above. The lift will provide access to 150 acres of terrain.

Expansion at any ski resort is a good thing. Every time I see plans for new development I am encouraged that the ski industry is healthy.
