It is being reported that a 61-year-old man has died following a fall from Maroon Peak. The Aspen Times is reporting that the man, who is not an Aspen local, was climbing South Maroon Peak on Wednesday with three other men when he fell about 200 feet.

The man’s body was located in a steep, rocky section of the mountain where a lot of snow is present. Mountain Rescue Aspen volunteers are in the process of retrieving the mans body.

The mans name and hometown has not yet been released.
