The Park City Police Department responded to a report of a fight between two skiers at Deer Valley’s Carpenter Express lift line Sunday morning. The Park Record reports the scrap started after one of the skiers blocked the other one from getting in line at the Carpenter Express lift.

Phil Kirk, a police captain, said the skiers bickered back and forth escalating to a yelling match. They skied down a run and continued the argument at the bottom. The skier who was accused of blocking the person in the lift line removed his skis. The accuser took this as an act of aggression and tackled the accused and held him down. The skier who was getting tackled counter with a punch during the take down.

The skier who did the tackling told Captain Kirk🖖 that he was worried the dude taking off his skis was lining up to punch him and thats why he went for the takedown. Ski patrol separated squabbling skiers and called the cops.

The skier who tackled the other skier is 50 and from the Snyderville Basin while the other person is 57 and from San Diego. Neither of the skiers was injured. Neither wanted to press charges. Real mature bros. images from parkcitypd FB
