The historic snowfall in the Tahoe region has been making for some fantastic skiing, but all that snow is also creating life threatening conditions.

Police in South Lake Tahoe were alerted to a vehicle that had been struck by a snowplow clearing the street. The police officers and plow operator were digging out the car when they saw a hand pressed against the window.

Officers found a 48-year-old woman inside the buried vehicle. Thankfully the woman was alive and well despite her vehicle being completely buried.

The woman is believed to be homeless and living in her car, according to Fiore. She told officers she had been inside the car for a few hours.
