Snowboarders Chris Rasman and Matt Belzile triggered a pair of windslab avalanches while filming a follow line on Mount Fee in Southwest British Columbia. They had seen wind slabs popping all day but didn’t expect such a wide break. Be careful out there backcountry skiers and snowboarder:

“A quick scare today with Matt Belzile and I. Mostly stable conditions in BC’s SouthWest mountains right now. However, that wind slab is everywhere! It’s small, but it could be enough take you somewhere you didn’t plan to go. I had Matt follow me down this, and we knew there was a chance of the wind slab we’ve been seeing all day popping, but definitely didn’t expect it to break so wide where we were riding. Pick your lines carefully with minimal exposure below. A friendly heads up y’all! Happy shredding.”
