CBS Denver reports that more women than ever are exploring Colorado’s high country in the winter and thanks to Friends of Berthoud Pass they a free resource to continue their journey towards avalanche safety.  Friends of Berthoud Pass hosts 20+ events a year to spread avalanche safety awareness and we fully support their mission. “Each year we offer 20 or more two-hour classroom avalanche awareness presentations followed in mid-winter by a full day on snow session. All courses are free and open to the public. We follow standards set by the American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE) and the American Avalanche Association (AAA) and we consult with highly respected educators in Colorado and elsewhere on our curriculum and course development.”
