WATCH: The New Yorker Explains Kelly Slater's Groundbreaking Manmade Wave

“William Finnegan discusses his reporting on the best surfer in the world, Kelly Slater, and how his revolutionary wave machine both advanced and disrupted the surfing industry.”

Very well done video by The New Yorker about Kelly Slater and his journey through large scale hydrodynamics to create the world’s best manmade wave.  Kelly has tons of media coverage about namesake Surf Ranchin Lemoore, CA but this is the best video explanation of all the ingenuity, engineering, and effort that went into it’s creation and deserves your watch. Well done The New Yorker:

p.s. if you know a STEM student that likes to get rad make sure to send this along.
