A 52 year-old man was found dead at the bottom of a ski run in the North Peak area at Keystone on Sunday reports the Glenwood Springs Post Independent.

He was discovered by other skiers and riders, who proceeded to execute CPR on the victim. Those attempts were ultimately unsuccessful and the man was later transported to the nearby Keystone Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Keystone said in a release that the death was caused by a “serious medical incident.”

The man’s identity is being withheld until next of kin can be notified. Our deepest condolences go out to the victim’s friends and family.
