BC skiers and riders foaming at the mouth to get at brand-spankin’ new Kicking Horse terrain have only a few more days to wait. The massive expansion announced earlier this October will finally open to the public for the 2018/1019 season on December 7.

Rudi’s Bowl, Middle Ridge and Ozone Bowl highlight what Kicking Horse says is the largest expansion in skiable terrain this season, helping push its skiable vert totals to the 5th biggest in North America.

Freeride World Tour Fans will recognize the Ozone Bowl’s south face from the tour’s 2018 stopover (and may see it again in 2019):

Kicking Horse explains its new terrain best as “a loud and large 660 acres of new, rowdy skiing! 660 acres that embody what Kicking Horse represents: adventurous terrain offering challenges to all skiers and riders.

To get at all of what’s newly on offer from Kicking Horse, you’ll have to earn your turns:

To access Ozone, skiers and riders will hike up to Whitewall, ski/ride down to the saddle and hike up to the top of the face. For Middle Ridge, a dedicated bootpack will head up from the bottom of Feuz Bowl. Big rewards will be available to those happy to do a little hiking!

Conditions Report:

24 Hour: 0″ | 72 Hour: 4″ | Upper-Mountain Depth: 30″

If your head’s not already exploding from the possibilities, a warning:

[When] these features are opened, you will not want to be sitting in the day lodge. This is some of the most exciting in-bounds terrain you will ever make turns on, so do not miss out! Going forward into this winter season and beyond, Kicking Horse will boast more inspiring and vast terrain than any one pair of skis can handle!
