Search and rescue crews were on the lookout for a missing hiker on Tuesday of this week when they came across the body of a woman near Nederland, CO.

According to the Denver Post:

“The discovery comes a day after two people exploring the Arapahoe Pass Trail nearby believed they heard a woman yelling in the distance and called Nederland police.”

The hiker went missing near the popular Fourth of July Trailhead, which provides access to a number of trails in the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area. Just a few weeks ago, Unofficial wrote about a Texas couple who had gotten lost into the night following their decision to tie the knot.

Police do not believe the hiker was equipped to weather the cold and snow blanketing the area at the time of the woman’s disappearance.
