Le Dauphine is reporting that a mountain biker was shot dead while biking in Montriond, France. The shooting occurred within the village limits at around 6pm on Saturday the 13th of October on a well-used mountain bike trail.
According to a Facebook page that local residents use, hunting has been suspended in the french alps ski town in which incident occurred.
It is being reported that the mountain biker was shot by a 22-year-old who was hunting with a group of 6 others. The hunter is said to be in serious shock and has been hospitalized, but isn’t in police custody.
The incident is being treated as “aggravated manslaughter”.
