NOAA: Winter Storm Warning For Montana | 18-22″ of Snow Above 6,500ft

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for the Northern Rockies. They are calling for as much as 22″ of snow above 6,500 feet by Wednesday.

…WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TUESDAY TO NOON MDT
WEDNESDAY ABOVE 5000 FEET…

* WHAT…Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations below 4000
feet 1 to 3 inches, above 5000 feet 5 to 8 inches, with
localized amounts up to 18-22 inches above 6500 feet, are
expected.

* WHERE…West Glacier Region.

* WHEN…From 3 AM Tuesday to noon MDT Wednesday.
