It’s being reported that a 61-year-old male passed away while biking on Aspen’s Valhalla bike trail on Sunday, September 30th.
Details of the incident have not been released.
The Aspen Snowmass patrol will conduct an investigation into what happened and that investigation will then be passed onto the U.S. Forest Service and the county’s sheriff’s office. Additionally the Pitkin County Coroner’s Office will be conducting their own investigation into the cause of death.
Sunday was the bike park’s last day of operations before closing for the summer season.
