Massive congratulations to Americans Hilaree Nelson and Jim Morrison for becoming the first people to descend Mt. Lhotse (elevation 27,940ft). After the pair made it to the summit they skied a 7000ft pinner line dubbed “The Dream Line” down the mountain located in the shadows of Everest:
“The crew is back at Camp 2 getting some much needed sleep after a 17 hour push to the summit and the ski descent. More photos to share when they’re back at base camp.”
Online Khabar reports the pair were accompanied by Sherpas Ila Nuru Sherpa, Fu Tashi Sherpa and Urken Lendu Sherpa who were critical to the expedition’s success by setting up ropes to the summit. Thank you Sherpas!!!
Obviously the WiFi ain’t so good up there so we will have to wait to till they’re back to civilization for more comprehensive documentation but we are happy to report they getting some much needed rest at basecamp:

This morning, @hilareenelson and @jimwmorrison became the first humans in history to ski the Lhotse Couloir. After summiting Lhotse, the fourth highest mountain on earth, Hilaree and Jim made a 7000 ft descent. We couldn’t be more proud. The crew is back at Camp 2 getting some much needed sleep after a 17 hour push to the summit and the ski descent. More photos to share when they’re back at base camp. A huge thank you to the team from the @khumbuclimbingcenter for being a part of this expedition. Photos by @dutchsimpson and @nickkalisz. #LhotseSki2018 #neverstopexploring
