“There was a mountain lion standing in our living room, it looked right at him and licked its lips and he took off.”  -Kayla Slaughter
A Boulder Colorado woman is mourning the loss of her cat Klondike after a mountain lion broke into her home and killed the pet before being chased away. CBS Denver reports the homeowners believe that mountain lion gained entry through an open window.
Boulder Police responded to the scene and the mountain lion eventually ran out of the house after being fired upon with beanbag rounds. The wildcat ran into nearby Boulder Canyon and didn’t appear to be injured by the non-lethal ammo that was fired. Officers advised it likely won’t return after being hit with the bean bags.
