A snowboarder who went missing during a January snowstorm in Tignes has been discovered by local fisherman reports The Telegraph.
39 year-old John Brommel was last seeing boarding a chairlift at the ski area for what he thought would be ‘one last run’ before meeting up with his friends and family.
Deteriorating weather and heightened avalanche conditions made the search effort extremely challenging and ultimately the search and rescue mission would turn into a recovery effort. According to Le Dauphine Libere, Brommel’s body was located between Tignes and Chevril lakes.
*Our deepest condolences go out to the victim’s friends and family.
