A late season storm is headed towards the Sierra this Memorial Day Weekend and the upper elevation slopes could get a much needed refresh.

As of this afternoon, NOAA is projecting anywhere between 1-5″ of fresh snow above 8,000′ along the Sierra Crest by Monday morning.
Heavier amounts will likely fall to the south with Carson Pass and Mammoth Mountain seeing the biggest snow totals. Squaw Valley‘s highest elevations should get a dusting.
